BBC Newsbeat has published a piece this morning, “Gavin & Stacey stars promise different second series.”
The publication sat down with the cast to watch the first two episodes. The full article is fairly short (and worth a read) but here are some highlights for you speed-freaks:
- James Corden said that he and co-writer (and co-star) Ruth Jones didn’t set out to emulate the first series success, but rather make a “show that we wanted to make.”
- He also said there will be more depth to the characters in series 2.
- Jones said that series one had a “very specific storyline to it, boy meets girl and it ends in a wedding.” She also said that series two has a different type of storyline.
- Corden also talked about hosting the NME Awards with co-star Mat Horne (see our post, “What’s in store at the NME Awards?“)
