As we’ve said before, music plays a big role in Gavin & Stacey. Here we recap some of the songs from the second half of series 2, along with some that we missed the first time around.
Don’t forget to read, “Gavin & Stacey Music – Series 2, Part 1” for music from the first 4 episodes, plus, “Gavin & Stacey Music, Series 1” for series 1 songs.
Once again, special thanks to the readers of the unofficial Gavin & Stacey blog and Cruise, Marry, Shag blog for their help in identifying artists.

Does any one know the name of the song in series 2 episode 2 when there is a montage of all of them sleeping. According to the series 2 web site it is a song by Jack Johnson but they have listed the wrong track. I think the actual song is by Willie Nelson? possibly Fear of Falling……can anyone help?
Hey Caz
It was the Jack Johnson song above in the originally broadcast version of the show. Are you in the US? I know they changed the song there for sure. And it sounds like they changed it on the DVD as well. We had one reader shed some light on this:
Deke Hardman wrote “For some reason, possibly legally related, the song was changed to I A Kloots ‘No Fear of Falling’ on the DVD.”
Can anyone tell me the song and artist, when everyone’s asleep.
Episode 2 / series 2. An accoustic peice ?
thanx all if you know.
Hey mr.fusewire65 see the response above to Caz. Depending on the source (DVD vs. Original Broadcast) the song differs. You’re probably hearing I am Kloot if this is your first time seeing that epsisode.
Jon
Gavin and stacey is the nuts!! They just cannot be serious about series 3 being the last one ever? Theyve hit a goldmine and they dont even know it! Ruth jones is the icing on the cake, the rest of the cast do it justice! Get rid of dave and his moustache! Cant he drive his coach off road into a ravine? I want smithy and nessa to share a few more corn on the cobs like, u know! Dont bring my world crashing down wiv THE END! I watch g & s every time i turn on my tv. (just to escape!) I love the show, dont break my heart! Debbie x
