Rumors are that the duo split due to professional obligations and pressure of being a celebrity couple. Corden + Smith were seen together last fall during the taping of Corden’s yet-to-air series, Hey Hey We’re the Monks. After the split, Corden was quickly elevated to sex-symbol status as his household familiarity grew with the success of Gavin & Stacey. He was rumored to be dating singer Lily Allen after flirting mercilessly on her talk show.
