- Corden, Jones win Writers’ Guild Award for Gavin & Stacey
James Corden + Ruth Jones, co-creators, co-writers and co-stars of the TV comedy Gavin & Stacey won a Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Award for Best TV Comedy/Light Entertainment.
The WGGA Award was announced last night and reported on their website.

- Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special – PREVIEW
The BBC Press Office has released some details around the upcoming Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special.
No word on an exact air date, but it appears the special will air sometime between 20 Dec and 2 Jan (most likely before Christmas) on BBC1.
Also scheduled to air that week is a “behind-the-scenes” documentary.

From The Mirror comes a report of James Corden taking some time to help a fundraiser in Cardiff.
Corden, celebrating the wrap of the Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special with fellow cast member was reportedly asked to present a raffle at a nearby black-tie charity event.

Various news outlets (including Yahoo Music news) report that Aussie singer Kylie Minogue is in talks with the producers of the 2009 BRIT Awards to join James Corden + Mat Horne as co-host.

- Corden to host Old Vic’s 24 Hour Plays
James Corden is set to host this year’s 24 Hour Plays at the Old Vic theater in London on 30 November.
The event, which features plays created and performed in 24 hours, is described by artistic director Kevin Spacey as “adrenaline-fuelled theatre and the audience is in for a real treat.”
