A flurry of news sites are flush with the scoop that James Corden kicks off the new year with a new found role in Hollywood.
Reports are vague at best, but The Times Online reports that Corden could be the first former Hollyoaks star to land in US pictures. Noting, that he’s already set to be executive producer for the US version of the hit Gavin & Stacey.
Then there’s The Sun, which reports that Corden is headed to Hollywood this month to work with director Nicholas Stoller, who helped fellow Brit Russell Brand make a US-name for himself in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Stoller is reportedly working on a film version of Gulliver’s Travels and has Corden at the top of his list, along with Hollywood A-lister Jack Black.
“Film bosses are determined to get him on board to play Jack Black’s sidekick. The studio have put on first class flights and the full charm offensive is in operation.”
