In a short interview with Gavin & Stacey co-creator Ruth Jones, she talks about the pressure of writing the upcoming third series.
Jones and co-writer James Corden have a deadline of the end of March for the completed third series script. Fortunately, Jones says “We’ve always known how it’s going to end, it’s a good thing to know where you’re heading to. And knowing the characters so well makes it somewhat easier. It’s a really enjoyable process.”
We, along with millions of other fans, are certainly looking forward to it.

Dear Sir James Corden & Madam Ruth Jones,
As I started to watch Gavin and stacey from the start, I couldn’t think of anything better. The characters are all so true to life, and the script is the most amazing that I have ever heard. I cried when Gavin and stacey ended on the 31st of December, I couldn’t bear thinking that this was it. I have every box set of series 1, 2, 3 & the Xmas Special.
I was so angry that it ended also, I cried heaps and thought ‘I can’t bear this’! The characters seemed so realistic, i began to think they were real people! I was also angry that they had left it as it was, with Stacey pregnant & Smithy & Nessa together. I am writing this persuasive letter to inform you that millions of other fans around the UK are begging for at least another special. I completely understand that you need all of the writers and actors, and the $$$! I will start a charity to raise money for another episode if it comes to it.
As me and many others in Britain and the Uk say, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE (+ infinity more pleases and pleases x infinity + infinity) MAKE AT LEAST ANOTHER SPECIAL OF GAVIN AND STACEY PLEASEEEEE!!!!!!
