Corden has clearly enjoyed the success of Gavin & Stacey and is on the precipice of more success with the upcoming Lesbian Vampire Killers and Horne and Corden - both featuring friend and co-star Mat Horne.
The profile in The Sun is reminiscent of a similar interview between Corden and The Guardian in early November.
Aside from recounting his success, his upcoming projects, his friendship with Mat Horne, the infamous chat-up with Lily Allen and of course his much-ballyhooed status as sex symbol, both pieces reveal that Corden was on the verge of becoming, in his words, “a twat.” It seems that fellow Gavin & Stacey star Rob Brydon actually pulled Corden aside and warned him of too much partying.
The Guardian piece is a bit more revealing, with Corden dropping his guard on a few occasions and clearly showing his vulnerable side. He talks honestly about his childhood, including an anecdote about his father headed off to the first Gulf War.
As 2009 sets up to be an even bigger year for James, it is clear that by continuing to stay honest and focused, Corden will not only make people laugh and cry with his work, but will continue to endear his fans to him. Plus it helps he can charm the pants off ‘em too.

“both pieces reveal that Corden was on the verge of becoming, in his words, ‘a twat.’”
On the verge of becoming? He’s gone right past that stage and turned into a fully fledged c&*t. At least Gervais waited until the second series of the Office to become a conceited arse.
