Corden films football spoof for charity

The Sun reports today that James Corden has been called up to the England squad football team.

Well, not exactly. It turns out Corden and the nine senior members of the team have filmed a comedy sketch for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day.

The sketch apparently features Corden as coach and ends with a recitation of the John Barnes rap from New Order’s World Cup 1990 anthem [buy MP3 (UK) | buy MP3 (US)] (Corden has previously performed the rap as Smithy in Gavin & Stacey, series 2).

“It was hysterical. The players loved it,” according to sources.

We’ll post a version of the sketch once it shows up on YouTube, likely after it airs during Red Nose Day on 13 Mar.
