James Corden has admitted his delight in US reception for Gavin & Stacey. Corden, who was in LA for an audition along side Jack Black, revealed he was aware the series had done well after being screened on BBC America.
At Christmas, I was really chuffed because I got sent this thing – the LA Times TV reviewer had listed the ten best TV events of the year and Gavin and Stacey was number two, and the US election was number one!”
In addition to being screened on BBC America, Gavin & Stacey is also reportedly set for a US-remake on broadcast network NBC. Corden and co-creator Ruth Jones are serving as executive producers, but as of last year hadn’t been privy to any specific updates.
