Mat Horne collapses (but is OK) + Rob Brydon uncovers Corden Twiter fake

Yesterday, Mat Horne collapsed on stage and was treated at a London hospital before being released. The Gavin & Stacey, Horne & Corden and Lesbian Vampire Killers star reportedly suffered from exhaustion after a grueling schedule these past three months (Horne is also co-starring in Entertaining Mr. Sloane and performing 8 shows a week).

The good news is Horne is reportedly feeling better. What’s more, Gavin & Stacey co-star Rob Brydon uncovered a James Corden fake on Twitter. According to reports, the James Corden on Twitter reported bad news for Horne, directly contradicting Brydon’s account. “Brydon had said Horne was going to be fine, and laughingly – and fairly obviously fondly – attributed it to his ‘tight jeans‘, hoping Horne would now favour ‘a casual slack.’”

A suspicious Brydon contacted Horne’s co-star Corden, and made the following announcement yesterday evening at around 9 p.m.: “From the horse’s mouth, James Corden is not on Twitter so the posts re Mat are from someone with a lovely sense of humour. You must be proud“. The account has not been updated since.”

The Corden-Twitter account in question is not the only fake Twitter. A second user, calling them self the “RealJamesCorden” is also tweeting away (although the account no longer exists).  They’ve also linked to this blog as Corden’s “bio,” which should tip anyone off as we’re clearly billing ourselves as an “unofficial fan site.”

Hey, thanks very much for the link. I’m really glad Rob Brydon uncovered it so quickly – I don’t know how long the fake James Corden account has been up, but it’s awful to think that so many people might attribute those insensitive and inaccurate remarks about Matthew Horne to the real Corden. Hopefully, the Corden and Brydon fanbases overlap enough that people will be aware of the unmasking.

Agreed. On the plus side, it did get me to finally setup my own Twtitter for the blog. I’m also glad the “realjamescorden” has disappeared.

Is the account @JKCorden Real? I really hope it is a real account as I just got a DM from it and I’m so hoping its actually him.
