James Corden has confirmed that the third series of Gavin & Stacey will be the last.
Rehearsal on the final episodes starts Monday June 8 with filming beginning the following week.
Says Corden, co-creator with Ruth Jones:
It’s an emotional time because we’re saying goodbye to these characters that we love. So the whole thing is very sad and I just hope it can be as good as possible.”

Corden goes on to talk about his forthcoming Hollywood film, an adaptation of Gulliver’s Travels:
I play a character called Jinks. I just pop up throughout it,” said Corden. “I’m the king’s assistant and the king is played by Billy Connolly so essentially it’s the best job in the world, I get to hang around with him all day.”
