James Corden is reportedly in talks with ITV on a £6M TV deal.
The three-year, golden handcuffs deal would make Corden the third-highest paid ITV star behind Simon Cowell and Ant and Dec.
But Corden is also still in talks with BBC.
[ITV] claims James is now seen as “ITV1’s golden boy” after his World Cup Live show pulled in 300% more viewers than forecast.
An insider said: “James’ football show was a roaring success. ITV are desperate to get him on an exclusive deal. But he’s a canny businessman and will only accept if it’s worth more than Chiles’ £6 million over four years.”
That’s reportedly a whopping six-times more cash than the star had a year ago, despite several substantial purchases. Those include a new £2.5 London pad in Primrose Hill and £80k on a new Jaguar.

James Corden was the worst presenter during the World Cup. His World Cup Live show was so phenomenally bad I assumed it was a spoof. The only laughter you ever hear is his own. I am still amazed that the BBC or ITV continue to promote a man who only ever gets his fat stomach out or laughs hysterically at anything anyone says. His has absolutely no talent whatsoever.
